Question: Every combine I have ever moved -- we drive them on the trailer, put blocks under them - cradle them by taking the front tires off and putting them on the back deck. I have never had any state permit a combine without taking the tires off and having them cradled and I have moved a lot straight from John Deere and various John Deere dealers. My bid will be for that, but there needs to be someone in Great Falls and Eugene that can assist with taking tires off, and cradling them.
You'll have to source someone around the MT area to handle the lifting and blocking service.
We move around 30-50 combines per year. Half of them go on blocks without wheels when being hauled by city slicker city boy truck drivers. The cowboys who live with hauling ag equipment do these loads with wheels on as long as it stays on the west coast.
If the pick up location will not assist at all in blocking these or securing them -- hiring a mobile mechanic is your only other option. And you could be looking at a grand or two each time they come out. I know I am not the lowest but I am close. I have been doing this a long time - and I promise u I know what I am doing. The cheapest option is usually the cheapest for a reason. Hope this helps.

Perfect. Are you going to be removing the wheels to gain height and width clearence?
Ideally no. We moved them all to these locations last years with wheels on. But most truck drivers who aren't experienced with hauling a lot of ag equipment are afraid of this method.
The wheels can be removed and machine placed on blocks. But you'll have to handle that service at the pick up locations. We list and install the wheels at the destination, our farm is setup for it.
