The broker will be responsible for customs
Unfortunately that's not possible, only a licensed customs broker can handle your customs entry. That said, I do have some great referrals available, and can help walk you through the process - been doing this for over 30 years. Did you already buy the trailer, or still a pending sale? I know the first thing the broker will need is the purchase invoice, and a photo of the DOT plate on the trailer. Nick
