Questions & Answers
Question: Hi, could you please get me an estimate of the weight? Also please confirm there is loading/unloading assistance. That way I can find the best trailer/truck to get it picked up. Joe
Hi, I don’t have the exact weight from the auction yard, but I estimate the total shipment weight to be approximately 500–600 lbs, including the Knaack box and the tools inside.
A forklift is available at the pickup location to assist with loading.
Last month, when I picked up another purchase from the same auction location, they told me they have a forklift available to help with loading. For delivery, I’m available on weekends and can help the driver unload.
Great, one last question, delivery has to be only during weekend or could it bedelivered during the week?
Hi Joe, weekend delivery would be best because I’ll be home and available to help unload. Weekday delivery is also possible, but I work during the day. If you can give me an estimated delivery time in advance, I can arrange to leave work for a couple of hours and meet the driver, preferably in the afternoon or evening.
Great, I will place my bid considering this information, according to my understanding you have a way to unload too, correct? Or it is better to have a truck and driver with the equipment to unload like a pallet jack and lift gate?
Hi Joe, I don’t have unloading equipment at my home since it’s a residential address. However, we can remove the tools from the box first. I estimate the empty box may be around 300 lbs, so we may be able to slide it down the trailer ramps, and I’ll be there to help.
Great, I do have all the information I need to get a good driver, the correct equipment and being able to secure a competitive rate, I will confirm my bid after the 7th which is when it will be ready, once you get the release form/paid invoice let me know so I can check my drivers routes. Joe
they said that Yes sir, we do have a forklift here that will be able to load your Knaack box.
:
Hi Joe,
The item is now paid and released, and I have the release form.
The shipment information has also been updated to approximately 5 ft L × 3 ft W × 4 ft H and 650 lbs.
I also received confirmation directly from the pickup location today that they have a forklift and will be able to load the Knaack box onto the trailer.
Please let me know if your bid is still valid with this updated information.
Thank you,
Mohammed
