Questions & Answers
Question: Hello, do you have a booking with a shipping line? Jerry
Not yet. But I can with probably Matson out of Bay Area or possibly Pasha out of San Diego. Wanted to see if anybody would come in with a reasonable bid for the entire trip to either Hilo or Kawaihai port. I can piece it out and book it so that transport only to the port is necessary. Its hard right now because we just went through a Hurricane where I'm at and we haven't had power for over 36 hours with no solution in sight. The excavator is gonna get put to good use helping with cleanup once it gets here!
I have experience moving equipment with Matson. I can give you a quote including inland and ocean transportation. Just bear in mind that they are very strict with inspections in order to load it onto the vessel. The machine has to be clean, with no leaks, and zero debris. Jerry
I've used them a few times for other equipment for our farm so I understand. We'd have to see if Iron Planet could give it a good pressure wash. I've also had drivers who were willing to stop at a drive through carwash place with pressure wash bays and give equipment a good rinse.
I've asked drivers before to wash the machines before dropping them off at Matson's auto lot. If you'd like, you can go ahead and handle the booking with the shipping line and I can give you a quote for the inland move from Dunnigan to Oakland. Jerry
Sounds good jerry thx.
